I am starting some computer classes soon and I must admit I am a bit nervous. I have never used them much because I have always worked in jobs which do not need them. However, my local college is running some free classes and so I thought that I really ought to take up the opportunity and have a go myself. I am sure they will start us off slowly but whenever I have looked at a computer it has always seemed so complicated and I am always worried that I might break it if I go near it.
Sounds silly, perhaps to those who are confident in using them, but when you do not know what any of the buttons do, it can be extremely daunting. I am hoping that some computer training will give me enough confidence that I can talk computers a bit with my grand children and possibly even be able to play with them when they are using theirs. They do everything very fast and just assume that you know what to do, so I think that I will need to be pretty experienced to do anything alongside them. Hopefully these classes will help me out a bit and I will get some confidence with them.
